The laundry basket is extremely popular in our house. Soleo wasn't totally sure about it at first, until he realized the clothes he was set on were still warm! And then Orion wanted in the photo...
Back on task with the actual laundry, Orion really likes doing it himself.
He even knows how to start the dryer (he starts the washer too, but can't quite reach the soap dispenser on his own). I figure just another year or two and he'll be doing all our laundry. ;)
That or I'll find the cat in there.
Y'all can wonder which of those I would prefer...
In comparison, Orion at the same age (just shy of 6 months old):

And lastly, Orion the bear, sleeping in the laundry basket/cave.
I was exhausted on Saturday afternoon, still fighting a nasty sore throat, ear ache, head ache, blah blah blah, on antibiotics and all that jazz. Our plan was for Brian to work "just a little more" on the greenhouse and then come in and shower so we could all go to an early dinner together. (The super romantic Valentines dinner with two boys in tow...)
I crawled onto the bed with Soleo for a little rest while we waited for Brian and with my eyes closed, chatted a little with Orion. It went like this:
Orion: Mama, I'm a bear!
Mama: hmmm
Orion: I'm going to build a fort. But since I'm a bear, it's my cave!
Mama: hmmm
Orion: I'm going to need some pi-yo-s [pillows] for my cave.
...runs to his room, pitter patter to get said pillows. Returns and keeps chatting.
I need a bwankie too. I'm going to get my Bob the Builder one. Where is it?
Mama: hmmm, on top of the dryer, I think
...pitter patter...
Orion: This is cozy, isn't it, Mama?
Mama: um-hmm
Orion: Are we hibernating Mama?
Mama: um-hmmm
Orion: You're the Mama Bear and Soleo is the Baby Bear and I'm the Boy Bear.
Mama: um-hmmm.
Orion: It should be dark, cuz it's Winter. I'll close the curtains.
Mama: hmmm
Orion: is it Spring yet?
Mama: uh-uh, not yet honey, keep hibernating.
Orion: Ok Mama. Mama? I think I need another bwankie to be really cozy. I'm going to get this other one here.
Mama: hmmm (eyes still closed)
All quiet.
Big foot steps.
Camera flash sounds.
Mama opens one eye to see her little Bear fast asleep. Hibernating for the night. Thank goodness for take out. We got our quiet dinner together after all. Too bad I was still sick.
