A few weekends ago, while Soleo and I were in Eugene, Pops and Orion built a fort in the corner of the yard.
It is a dome, made of grape vines and hemlock branches.
And it's sized just for kids!
They laid flat stones and gravel for the floor, so it wouldn't get muddy.

Awesome! Did I tell you it is C's fondest wish to chop down trees to build a hut? And tonight Ruby asked me if we could move to the forest. Maybe I should rethink this city-kid thing. If I knew we could get a house/yard as cool as yours, I would consider moving.
I give Brian full credit for the notion that an outdoor fort should have a clean floor! :-)
