Things I learned today

1. Dog poo smells so bad that even at 2am it has to be dealt with. Both piles. And the wool rug.
2. Leaving the dog barricaded in the kitchen was a good idea so that when he got sick some more, it was contained to the kitchen floor. And kitchen rugs.
3. Bleach water didn't leave a cloudy residue on the floor even though I didn't do the extra rinse.
4. Flushing the dog-poo-clean-up paper towels down the toilet was a bad idea.
5. Soleo will have a blow-out in a cloth diaper only when the toilet for rinsing said diaper is clogged.
6. I can channel my dad, who I swear once told me that he considered becoming a plumber before he went for his MBA/CPA. Turns out it was a good professional move on his part. But he taught me how to use a toilet plunger.
6. Our fancy toilet WILL overflow 1.6 gallons of none-too-clean water onto the floor.
7. That trick Dad taught me about lifting up the lever thingy inside the toilet, to make the water stop overflowing? It doesn't work on our fancy toilet.
8. Soleo WILL finger paint with Desitin if left unattended on the changing table. (I knew he wouldn't fall off and it seemed smart to keep him contained and not part of the toilet-water-everywhere-escapade.)
9. While my heart was racing to be one step ahead of the water meeting the wood trim, the song, "Mama said there'd be days like this..." was running through my head. My mom never said that. She did say, and I often quote this, "no sense ruining a good day".
10. I can't not blog.

Sorry for the lag in posts. More cute photos of my kids coming soon.

Okay, this is what comes of typing and reading at the same time.

I should have said:

I think today is *better.*
