Thumbs up!
You can see from the light that it was a pretty dreary day.
And that school starts at a rediculously early hour.
The whole family was there for drop-off and to meet the teacher, Ms. Bradbury, who is not only sweet and charming, but completely bilingual. I watched with envy as she spook with the Spanish speaking families. She will teach the English half of the day and Ms. Sanchez will teach the Spanish half of the day. The school is a Dual Immersion Program and many of the children have limited English skills. Half the day will be completely in Spanish and half will be completely in English. The program continues through the 6th grade at the elementary school and by the time Orion reaches Middle School, it should be fully in place there as well. The high school it feeds into has the International Baccalaureate Program (aka International High School). Pretty cool.
