HAPPY EASTER!

Happy Easter!
The Easter Bunny brought us all some treats! And there was a note saying that the Lego pieces would be over at Cousin Gretel's house.

The boys did a fast and furious job finding all the eggs that were hidden here. They had candy and fruit snacks in them, which Soleo loved eating as he went along!

There was also a set of Spiderman Dominoes for the boys to share and they were excited to give that a try!

When we got over to Gretel's house, the kids all decided to read a book together.

Orion is a great reader now and whenever he and Gretel are together, she gets him to read to her.

Adorable cousins!

It doesn't get cuter than this, does it?!

I imagine Gretel thinking, "I hope I'm getting a sister!"

Gretel finding her basket.

Orion and Soleo each got a bubble blowing gun.

Soleo was super excited to find the eggs that he'd helped color!

He was SO enthusiastic, shouting "ah HA" each time he found an egg.

Mr. Blue Eyes

Liesl is positively glowing these days! The baby could come anytime between now and early May.

Mr. Long Legs!

Finding one of the last eggs that were filled with the Lego pieces.

I didn't realize the strangeness of it in the moment, but Soleo read Gretel's name on the egg. And then showed it to me and said, "this says Gretel's name". I don't think he has ever seen her name in print before. People, he's 3 1/2.

Orion got to sit on the warm front porch and put together his Lego. The grown-ups got to chat. The littlest kids got to play. It was warm and sunny and totally perfect.

Right before our walk to Laurelhurst Park, Grammie Liz helped Gretel with her new Hello Kitty temporary tattoos. She and Soleo and Grammie each got one or two.

We walked the six or so blocks to Laurelhurst Park and got to swing on the swings, ride the teeter-totter, bask in the sunshine, and thoroughly enjoy the people watching! There were folks dressed up as bunnies, getting ready for a bunnies-on-bikes parade. As we were leaving, there were just a handful of people. After we got home, we saw the parade ride past Casey and Liesl's house. There were almost 200 people, maybe even more! We counted about 175 bikes and many of them had trailers with kids or kids in bucket seats. And every single one of them had bunny ears attached to their bike helmets or some other bunny decoration. One lady even had two bunnies in a cage, attached to her bike trailer!

It was such a great Easter!
Love to you all!
