The past nine months have gone by so quickly. And have been such a joy. The contrast with the nine months that preceded it has not gone unnoticed. What a hard pregnancy. What a wonderfully happy, mellow, well adjusted baby who loves life and completes our family in ways we never expected. Soleo brightens a room with his presence and is the sunshine in our lives. He and Orion adore each other to a degree that I never imagined possible. I hope that they will always be such good friends.
Soleo, as you learn to crawl and express yourself, you amaze me and lighten my heart. Your hands float through the air, your fingers dancing a story as you sing the words. The curls behind your ears get styled with baby food as you suck your thumb in between bites of applesauce. You are working on ma-ma-ma, but I think your first word will be "Orion" as you try to keep up with him and be his constant and captive audience.
We love you to the moon and back.
