Soleo started preschool and really loved it! We have been talking about it for almost 6 months, as "they don't wear diapers at school, only underpants". He has totally mastered the potty and after watching Orion start 1st grade last week, was thrilled to start preschool this week!
At the check-in, the children each get to sign-in in the book. They find the special shape (Soleo has an apple) and they flip to their page. We will be able to see the progress they make as they work on tracing their names and eventually writing it out.
He was very interested in the light table. He did some stacking of the different colored pieces, watching them change color as the light went through them.
He really liked pouring the corn, measuring it with the different containers, and feeling it with his hands.
Washing hands before snack, following the directions that are drawn on the paper on the wall.
Bananas and popcorn for snack. He especially liked getting to pour himself a small glass of water.
Cleaning up after snack, washing the table for the next kids.
Circle time with Teacher Penny and Chester the Raccoon.
Afterward there was outside play time that included bubbles (huge wands), trucks, a sandbox with an overflowing trough of water that allowed for building canals and such in the sand, and sweet friends to play with! He was so tuckered out at the end of the day!
